Description
By the way, like the best fairy tales, also this drawing has its age: it has maybe 3 years...
Believe me or not, every single character is a piece of drawing. I cut everyone of them all and put everyone in his/her/its place into this landscape drawn in a big paper sheet (this took me about 3 months to finish). I was so afraid they escaped from the drawing, but they are still here luckily, after all these years: maybe because they like the landscape, or maybe because every one wants to have an important role on this wonderful scene!
Now the curtain is opened to you, too!
A hammer of the Hammer Bros has got lost somewhere... I told him not to trhow so far away, so it's not my fault! >=[
Characters and scenery drawn by hand and coloured with pastels!
*The original drawing is really big, so I had to take a photo of it: I took it as good as I could...*
Drawing featured in the page "Io amo Nintendo" (I love Nintendo) in the Italian official magazine of Nintendo-Nintendo la Rivista Ufficiale(Sprea editor)- in December 2006. It's a present for them from me!
See the scan here[link] Here you can see a better photo of my drawing and understand how I did this!
......
And...Yes, this is MADNESS!
*Who said me to put this drawing of mine on my gallery?
and my Sis Giulia .
But the end my head makes wht it wants! Thankyou so much!
This is fantastic! The colored pencil rendering looks really nice. Good variation in line width for your "inking". That fact that you cut out each character and assembled them all on the background, is something that would typically be done digitally using "layers" in a program...but you did it manually, which is awesome!
I also really like how certain characters are extending beyond the white mat on the border; that really brings your eyes right into the picture and makes it much more three dimensional looking. You even rendered the background softer, as it would normally look in real world photography. The soft background helps the characters pop off the page even more, adding more depth to the landscape as well.
Over all, this is a charming, lovely piece of art that any fan of this game would love. You did a wonderful job on this! Excellent work!
